PO looks for rescue

A Happy New Year!

"The cash-strapped mail carrier that lost almost $16 billion in the past
year, ran into its legal borrowing limit and defaulted twice on required
payments to the federal government, now turns to the newly sworn-in Congress
for help.

The Postal Service loses $25 million every day, it says, as more Americans
communicate by email and the massive payments for future retiree benefits
take a toll.

It could run out of money in a little more than nine months, according to
some estimates."

Can you wonder why people have turned to surer means of delivery?

When a LOCAL letter takes 3-5 days, why bother? Call or email !!!

Or, for documents, use a private delivery service, even if it is more
expensive.

I wonder if the rescue demands of the USPS are a kind of request for doping,
at the expense of others. The idea came over me from what I read today in
the news:

"Armstrong was stripped of all seven Tour titles last year following a
voluminous U.S. Anti-Doping Agency report that portrayed him as a ruthless
competitor, willing to go to any lengths to win the prestigious race.

USADA chief executive Travis Tygart labeled the doping regimen allegedly
carried out by the U.S. Postal Service team that Armstrong once led, "The
most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that
sport has ever seen.""

Yeah, they knew ... all the way to the top! But now the USPS is
'considering' going after Armstrong for the 'funds they wasted'
supporting the team. The 'whistleblower', it seems, may get a very
hefty 'reward'.
I think it's more a case of someone didn't get 'their share' and is
pouting.
