Where can I find a list of the countries with the least valuable
currency? I am NOT looking for a place to do foreign exchange trading
to create fabulous wealth. So, please do not spam me. I am working
on a project that is, well... not commercial. So, I am looking for an
easy to use source of data. Thanks.

Some of the components of what used to be Yugoslavia have undergone
reductions so drastic that it almost takes scientific notation (as in ten to
the minus x) to express them. Argentina, Brazil, Israel, and no doubt
others have experienced the same thing. Many Latin American countries have
given up entirely and now deem the U.S. dollar fit for their monetary
transactions.

Do you mean the least valuable now, or the least valuable ever?

The Full Universal Currency Converter
Please note: This "full" version of the Universal Currency Converter
contains every known world currency. That's over 180 currencies in over
250 geographical locations!

Now, all you have to do is look thru' there and find some cheap ones.

Now.
Although I may look at "in the last 10 years" for a future project.

Good info. Can you point me to a ranked list somewhere?

Thanks. I have already found several nice currency conversion web
sites. I just need to know which specific countries to choose to pull
up the conversion rates for.

I like the idea of you clicking thru' those alphabetized 180
countries -- how long can it take? 10 minutes? You only have to
convert to one common currency.

Think of it as a character builder. :-)

You can do it faster than you can get someone to give you a 'list' which
won't be as definitive as your own current work.

Also notice how a 'conversation' actually flows chronologically and
sequentially.

Each issue of the monthly World Coin News has a half page of nothing but
exchange rates, but they are not ranked, nor do they offer any comparison
with what the units used to be worth. Before the Euro was adopted by Italy,
the lira was worth next to nothing, for example.

This site may be of value to you:

http://www.x-rates.com/

And no, in spite of the URL, it's not a porn site! 8)
