i have an old .25 cent gold coin that is missing a little of one edge,

Im an experienced jeweler and am curious of the best ways this should be
done.And or not be done.thanks.

There are people with many years of experience at repairing coins. Solder
is a no-no.

With no disrespect intended, your experience as a jeweler is as meaningful
as an experienced housepainter wanting to know how to paint his car.
