Taxes and Coin Club Report
Did everyone remember to get their taxes done? I did mine the other day
using Taxact, a free download. Worked pretty good. then I did my state taxes on the state's web site. much easier than the last time years ago I tried some tax software and just gave up cause it kept crashing. these actually worked ok, although entry of some stuff was a bit tedious trying to read the tiny lettering on the w2s and such and typing it in (maybe old age attacking my eye balls). while I was in my tax records I happened across the statement the social security people sent me. the drop in my income over the last 10 years is pretty dramatic (thanks for nothing you weasels in congress that keep raising taxes and running the economy into the ground). I guess that's why my coin budget keeps dropping every year. tonight was the coin club meeting. nothing too interesting, no new business, no old business, no show and tell. bought some tokens in the auction for $1. plastic ad tokens for the club - a set of 8 one in each color they were made in. no real bargains in the auction, but someone bought a bunch (like ten) of blue and red books for something like $10. I only got one question right in the coin trivia contest. did not manage to win anything in the raffles either. but a good time yakking with the guys. |
