Leeward isl query.
Anyone care to speculate how a Richmond Surrey hammer
appears on a Leeward Island stamp? http://cjoint.com/data/hen2npzXzu.htm |

The Leeward Is. cancel either missed the stamp or was not applied to the cover. PO in Richmond cancelled the stamp, before delivery. 2) Less likely, stamp used in error , possibly by a recent arrival from the LI and the Richmond PO didn't notice. 3) Letter was pre stamped in LI. but then was carried by a traveller to the UK. A 1d GB stamp was added and it was reposted upon arrival in Richmond. The PO cancelled both stamps. B B. |

Interesting, thanks Blair,
I would have gone for 2) Similar to the instance of Gerhard's German embossed, SON cancel Edinborough.
