1942 Walker DDO

Does anyone know where I could find more information about the 1942-P
walking liberty doubled die obverse? I believe I have one--it's got
very subtle doubling on the "N" and "G" of "In God We Trust." Where
else should I look? Swiatek's book doesn't describe any of the
varieties.

Thanks,
J

Bruce Fox's book "The Complete Guide to Walking Liberty Half Dollars" lists two
1942-P varieties with a Doubled Die Obverse. Varietiy V103 (1-O-III) shows
most doubling under Liberty's right brest, throat and drapery (no mention of
doubling of any letters of motto.) There is no discription for variety V102
(2-O-III).

Try contacting Ken Potter who is an error and varieties coin dealer. His Web
