Adjustment marks???? by Bob Peterson
looks like someone adjusted it alright. I got a kick out of the reference to pigs. If what he says is even remotely true, he would have long ago submitted to pigs, gotten the grade he thinks it deserves, and would have a very valuable coin. "Bill" wrote in...

Think I'll just take a break by Jerry Salley

I've made a friend or two and identified a few people I know I would never want to be friends with. ...

FS: Churchill Crowns $3.00 postpaid (within US) by Jim Seymour
OK, I don't know if $3.00 each is a deal or not. In fact, it seems a bit high, but it's what I have to sell them to recoup my cost... Last month, when Dale Hallmark wrote his Churchill essay for the essay contest, I was inspired to seek out this "ugly" coin. After all, it seems to come up...

Newark Museum "Money Exhibit" by Edwin Johnston
Verne Walrafen has a little piece up about a family friendly interactive exhibit concerning the history of money that is opening at the Newark Museum. Verne's angle, as usual, is to relate the connection between it and the Gallery Mint Museum (GMM), who leased the exhibit a screw coin press....

Houck's Panacea counterstamp by Ardie's Coins
Got a capped bust half dollar (1834 in VF) in the other day with a counterstamp from Baltimore, MD that reads "Houcks Panacea". It's listed in the Rulau book (1994 edition) at $325.00 - does anyone know if that is a realistic price? I can't find anything on eBay that would indicate a "normal"...
