Parker 51 "Special" by
Allan
I received a Parker 51 "Special" pen in 1962. I used it very
infrequently at that time. Unfortunately it once to a nose dive to the
floor and wrote very scratchy after that. I stored it since the early
1960's and came upon it recently. I would like to know if this pen is
worth repairing so that I...

Parker FP question - "L"... by
Allen
Hi guys,
Just bought a Parker FP, quite a cheap model, have no idea of which one
it is... simple cylinder of stainless steel cap and body with a gold
clip and gold-ish nib. Converter inside (simple sliding plunger). I
got it for around $20.
My guestion is: On the cap, there's an "L".
I fear...

For all the pencil enthusiasts on here... have you ever heard of this
crazy fad called pencil twirling? I love pencils but I'd never heard

Cross Stylographic Repair by
Andrew Perlow
I'm attempting to repair a Cross Stylographic, circa 1890. The pen is in
overall great condition except the needle is missing. Who knows, it could
have been broken off sventy years ago.
I've found that a Rapidograph 0.80 needle is too small, (the ink almost
drips) and a 1.20 is too large.
I'm...

Vulcanite Turning Green by
Andrew Perlow
I have a number of Parker Lucky curves that I've mistakenly displayed in a

hastened them turning from black to olive green. Is there a way to restore
the original black without decreasing the pen's value. I've looked at Da
Book...

Sheaffer Balance Broken Cap by
Andy
The lower portion of the cap of my Sheaffer Balance just separated from
the top of the cap (between the two rings).
Sheaffer does offer a lifetime guarantee, but it seems like a simple
repair that I might do myself. Any recommendations about type of glue,
etc. or would I be better off sending it...

How to write ? by
Andy Dingley
My handwriting is awful. It's never going to be neat, but a lot of
the problem is the _style_. At English schools of the '70s, I was
taught a *******ised copperplate. It's an ugly hand, with a lot wrong
with it. Now I think I need to learn something different.
English copperplate is an arrogant...
