Parker 51 when to refill? by Paul
Just got a parker 51 to use as an every day pen. its the sort with the plastic sack that you squeeze to fill. is the pen empty when the ink is at the bottom of the sack or is there plenty left before it needs refilling? Paul.

Worst pen ever: Ancora by Xiaoding
Just bought an Ancora Gioconda. Not a very good looking pen. But the worst thing: the nib is a POS. Uneven ink flow, sometimes just dumps it all out. This pen is a rip-off. Wish I had checked this group first, before buying this piece of crap!

HIFRA fountain pens - any information? by paul.cockburn3
Hi all, I have a couple of HIFRA pens, but can't find any information about them at all, even a google search only comes up with a German Engineering company! I'd be grateful for anything at all about the pens. Thanks, Paul

New pen break-in? by help-slip-franklin
Thanks in advance to any help or advice. I have just purchased my first two new fountain pens, in the past I have only used older pens and have always been very pleased with how smoothly they have written. The two new pens are not a smooth on any type of paper and I was wondering, since I have not...

where to find truly fine pens? by Bernard Arnest
Hi, 3 years ago I got into woodworking with those wooden pen kits. They're an excellent way to start-- quite cheap compared, say, to a full shop for cabinetry, and gratifying literally overnight. But now I'm interested in returning to pen-making, far more seriously. I know that incredible pens...

Montblanc by bwesley8
I'll be in Europe (primarily Amsterdam and Brussels) next week on business, and plan to also do some shopping for a Montblanc fountain pen, probably a Meisterstuck. Can someone give me a good estimate of what I should expect to pay as a fair price? Thanks, Bart

Please help! by Nicola
I've been given a beautiful Parker Duofold rollerball for my 21st birthday, but know nothing about pens (my dad is hoping to get me into them I think, and this pen is seriously helping!). The problem I am having is I don't know how to change the refill. I'm taking some law exams, so need to write...

First impressions: Noodler's Ink Luxury Blue by Juhapekka Tolvanen
IIRC this is "bulletproof" and not "eternal" ink. Correct me, if I am wrong. They have difference: Both are water-resistant, but bulletproof inks can not not be removed from paper without damaging that paper. Here is what Nathan himself says about his "eternal"...

I Hate the Waterman Phileas Converter by Tarnation
I don't like the Waterman Phileas converter but I love the pen otherwise. It is cumbersome and messy to attempt to get it to drink more than a trickle of ink. Years ago I recall a converter that was a bag surrounded by a metal sleeve that could be squeezed to suck up the ink. Does anyone know of a...
