I have a mint copy of the above book ISBN 0907 605 27 3 and would like to find out it's value, does anyone here know? It was given to me by Denis Cooper when I carried out some work for him in the early 1990's, I understand it is long out of print and is very rare, I have searched the normal...

Marines screwed by the Corps by The Bobino
"The U.S. military plans to charge Marines in the killing of 24 civilians in Haditha, Iraq, on Thursday, according to sources familiar with the case." So we send them over there to kill Iraqis and when they do we courtmartial them? Great incentive to join the armed forces: obey orders and WE'LL...

Of Hunam Bondage by Joe Mc
I have two old black books of "Of Human Bondage" by doubleday press. Can you tell me points for a 1st edition on these rather old books. There is no number line but that don't mean much on old books sometimes. Thank you Joseph McNamara

warped boards by my-wings
Is there any cure for warped boards? I just bought a book that's got a badly warped back board, probably water damage. I'm not very optimistic that just putting it under a heavy weight will fix the problem, and in fact, it might put too much of a strain on the joint. Any suggestions? Alice

Novels of Victor Hugo, By the Order of the King, Valjean Edition by Techie
I recently purchased this book (indicated by the subject) but it is lacking a copyright page. Does anyone know when it was printed? Is it worth anything? I bought it for $4 at a used book store and it seemed like a good deal. Also, speaking of the price - there is a price sticker (modern) attached...

Cleaning tops of books by JAH
I posted earlier about how to inventory a book collection I inherited. I took all your wonderful advice and ended up buying Readerware to get me started. I now have another question. The place where the books had originally been stored was a basement workshop where woodworking was done. There is a...

Bookcases by Francis A. Miniter
Last week I bought five used bookcases for $30. They included an 84"x39", a 36" x 36" mahogany case, and three 36" high x 39" wide dark pine cases. I have now refinished the mahogany case and oiled the others. Wow, what a difference. This should keep me organized for a little while. Francis...

Attaching Loose Boards by michael adams
The question has sometimes come up on here, as to the best way to re-attach loose boards on leather bound books, where the services of a bookbinder may not be economically viable. In the past I've use strips of paper soaked in paste to make a false spine. But just recently I've tried using 2 inch...
