lawyers and pens by Scaupaug
I received an angry e-mail claiming I've violated some sort of copyright. I would like opinions on this...and keep in mind the item in question was never sold for $ and thus I believe there is no commercial claim that is possible. A very large pure platinum nib was made...and as it was made by a...

Very cool Waterman pen display F/S by Speebob
I have a Waterman pen display up on E-bay now that is about the best looking display I have seen. Much to my surprise bidding has been quite light on it and it's ridiculously cheap for this nice a display. So take a look at Item number: 2182064879 if you are interested. I can deliver to the DC...

Two unusual items for E-Bay by Licensed to Quill
Got two somewhat unusual items for e-bay One is a George Jensen fountain pen. Presumably made by Edward Todd or Hutcheon or Swan or someone. (Possibly not E.T as it doesn't have their mark on it, - unless George Jensen just didn't want anyone else's logo on their...

a life time by Frank Dubiel
Marten van de Kraats wrote: Two questions: 1. Am I wrong to think that one should be able to write with a fountain pen several hours or more a day during a period of say a life time without the nib wearing out? Is this also the case with vintage pens? You are not wrong. Well maybe...

Parker Rage Red VP with 2X broad STUB for SALE by JonR529
This pen was originally listed on ebay and closed over the July 4th weekend, and so was probably missed by some who might have desired it. The pen is in excellent ++ condition, and is fully working (something that you don't see very often with VP's.) The pen's details can be found by going...

a couple of questions from a (relative) newbie by Robert Englund
Hi Question 1: Has anyone else noticed that Germans have a particularly distinctive blue ink? It's blue, but with a certain sort of purple-ish cast to it. I've only ever seen that particular colour on letters from people in Germany. The point is, I quite like it. Is it (or something similar)...

a steel-nibbed PFM? by Ingemar Johanson
I think I have come across a steel-nibbed PFM. It has a silver colored nib, but without the PdAg marking of Sheaffer's palladium silver nibs. And the cap-lip bears the inscription "Sheaffer's-R.D. 1960-MADE IN CANADA" Someone once suggested that the "R.D." imprint indicated that this was from...

how to thin/dry a line? by marlinspike
I don't know how I do it, but whenever I make a small nib adjustment, I always end up with a very fat, very wet line, and undoing what I did doesn't seem to undo the change in line. So, what should one do to narrow out/dry out the line (I seem to have misplaced my Da Book). Thanks, Richard
