(First Edition) Sequence of Printing numbers (and/or letters) by
Bill Palmer
Is it possible that John or Francis or Paghat or any of the
other distinguished contributors to the rec.collecting.books
forum can simplify the matter of print-run numbers and letters
regarding all or most questions of determining authentic first
editions?
Yes, I realize there are all sorts of...

(opinion needed) Truman Capote - In Cold Blood by
Alexandre Cloutier
I've browsed for this elsewhere and finally ended here.
I have a copy of TC's In Cold Blood by Signet.
I believe it is First Printing in paperback 1967, Winipeg, Canada.
However, contrary to other First printings I've seen, mine has a "blood
splotch" in the top right corner with " over 600,000...

(Slightly OT) Loons, Worms & John Pelan's Obsessions by
Chris Barker
In this site John Pelan said with characteristic antagonism:
"Of course, Mr. Barker is a well-known loon that I no longer bother
replying to and the Adams creature is in my killfile where he belongs
so I haven't read all of Barker's bleatings. Ramsey's comments on the
interest in a given author...

.. darned title i can't recall by
b3141
..
... julie... b3141 ... can anybody help with coming up with this book
title ... maybe also author's name. Non-fiction tome came out in 70's
or early 80's.
it was a rather tongue-in-cheek assertion of 'everybody' being jewish.
I don't think the work was meant as a joke, but it certainly took...

Teni
Hello again!
I've been reading (uh oh) and I want to make sure I keep my new-old
book safe. It mentions acid free paper/materials. Is polyester a safe
material to wrap it in? (i have a pouch that it fits in just perfect,
and since I don't want it left out on a shelf to get abused, it seemed
best...

15th Century Book? by
Diane
I have a book called Liber Chronica--- . I can't read the last bit of the
title. There are hundreds of illustrations, and the date seems to be 1493.
It has the name Nuremberg on the title page, and Schede-. The title page is
very worn. The illustrations are still good. Without the title, and...
