Broadstruck? by
Brian
Is this cent what you would call "broadstruck?" It feel like it is slightly
bowl-shaped. The reverse is also rotated about 5 degrees from what it
should be.
How many summer homes could I buy with this...

First Flight coin sales ended by
Bruce Remick
There was a recent announcement that sales of the First Flight commem coins
have ended at 33% of maximum allowed (1.35 million). Was the entire
authorized mintage of proof/unc gold eagles, dollars and halves produced, or
were the coins essentially "minted to order"? If more were minted...

Halves and $2 Bills by
Malanutt 4 Life
I just had a quick question about half dollars and $2 bills. I'm thinking of
trying a part time cashier job to use these denominations to try to get them
circulating a little bit. My question is, would halves cut the demand for
quarters at all, and will $2 bills cut the demand for $1 bills at all?...

How do people find error coins? by
Brian
I've never seen an error coin, so I'm guessing they're rare. How do most
collectors find them? (esp the off-color, off-center, or highly deformed
ones) Do they just get tons of rolls from the bank and search through them,
or what? If so, which banks should you go to and when should you go...

Surprise (kind of) Received In Change by
Phil DeMayo
Today while the clerk at the convenience store was counting out my change I
heard a rather distinctive "clink" as the coins dropped into the palm of his
hand. The telltale sound spoiled the surprise as he handed me the two dimes,
the quarter and the Kennedy half that added up to the 95 cents I was...

Coin from Oz in My Change Today by
Scottishmoney
Today, apparently for a dime, or maybe a nickle, and I am not sure where I
got it, I got an Australian 5¢ coin in change. When I looked at it at first
I noticed it looked like the Canadian 5¢ coin, but the reeded edge was what
made it distinctive and got the thorough look over. First time I have...

He sent me copies as he knew I collected them ocassionally. A few nice
