Can anyone recommend a definitive book (hopefully still in print or at
least easily available) about the NYC Draft Riot?

Sun Dial Press by
Dormammu
Hi, I am trying to find out more information about this defunct
publishing company. My copy of "First Editions: A Guide To
Identification" by Zempel & Verkler doesn't even list it, and I'm trying
to figure out what the codes on the publisher's page mean. I think a
given volume is a first edition...

The Hillcrest Book Fair and Festival will be held THIS SUNDAY, June

everyone in Southern California to attend.
The Book Fair will have approximately 50 booths of book sellers, many

Brag by
Doug McClure
I don't remember anyone bragging about their latest book finds lately,
so I'll start a new thread...
At an estate sale in Southern California, I attended a sale from a
dealer who always advertises great books, even though his sales
usually are NEVER as good as promised. This one was no different,...

A little bragging.... by
Doug McClure
And I found a firt printing of "Memoirs of a Geisha". Price-clipped
but otherwise gently read and in VG+ edition. To my surprise, however,
I see many (alleged) first printings listed on Amazon for $15-$25, so
perhaps this book isn't as scarce or collectible as it was a few years
ago.

Revolutionary brag and some questions (long) by
Doug McClure
This past weekend I purchased a stack of old newspapers from an estate
sale. I had a chance to look through the stack and decided to take a
chance. I figured the supply of these was miniscule, but for all I
knew the demand was even smaller.
Upon further investigation and research, I've decided to...

Brag & Thanks by
Doug McClure
I have a brag and thanks for r.c.b.
Today I had a ball at a garage sale. From what I heard, the landlord
of an rental building was selling abandoned property left in the
garage. It was a backyard full of junk, including a dozen boxes of
books. Unfortunately, many books were badly damaged, to some...

Visual Aids - Remainder and Edge Marks by
Doug McClure
Random House also used a rubber stamp -- of a house -- similar to the
Simon and Schuster's stamp.
I believe that some publishers put a sticker on the book. I can't
remember which publishers, but as I recall the sticker was a small
bright green. The sticker is fairly easy to remove.
Also, some...
