Salvaging question by

Yesterday I bought a 1909 quarter eagle for $45 that apparently had been
mounted as a jewelry piece. The reverse is nearly flawless (my scan
doesn't do it justice), with sharp detail and no...

Regional show? Amarillo Texas et. al. etc.etc.... by

This post is guaranteed to ramble a BIT and to be a little slow in
concluding,
(read long) so if you are easily bored then consider yourself forewarned.
Yesterday was my 29th wedding anniversary and I am in the dog house once
again.
My wife got me more than I got her. Will I never never ever...

ADV: Dylan Coins - Morgan Silver Dollars by
PJZ
Check out Dylan Coins at www.dylancoins.com. We offer only "professionally"
certified coins at mostly wholesale prices. We just threw up 3 new NGC MS64
GSA Carson City dollars: 1882-CC, 1883-CC, 1884-CC. We add new coins at
least once a week and honestly have had a hard time keeping up with...

Katz Coins sighting ... by
Ken Barr
Katz Coins has a table at the Fremont Coin Club
show this weekend ... I'm sure that Greg and his
partner would appreciate any r.c.c.ers stopping
by and giving them a big "Howdy"!
(FWIW, they have three cases of material, two-enna-
half cases of raw coins and a half-case of slabs,
a duzzen or so of...

wheat pennies (newbie questions) by
Marion Sherman Howard
Forgive my asking such elementary questions, but I'm hoping I came to
the right place.
My father-in-law passed away recently. He left behind some jars of
coins, including a jar filled with wheat pennies. I am not a coin
collector and have no idea whether there's too much value to these
coins,...

PCGS Slabbed Dime by
Gary Loveless
I used to own a slabbed PCGS MS-64 1964-D Roosevelt dime. The
curious thing is that the slab had the word "SAMPLE" on the label. Can
anyone tell me what this meant??
Thanks,
Gary

Currency Signature Question by
Dereck L. Dietz
Can anybody help me out in decyphering the signatures on the 1999 and 2001
series notes?
I know it may be a seemingly dumb question but I can't think of anyplace
else to look for an answer and my reference book only goes to 1995.
Thank you very much.

Professional Grading by

"Paul" wrote in message news:3f3e9981$1@news.
I used to actively collect coins many years ago and I have a few
relatively rare coins such as a 1909-s VDB in EX Fine condition and a
1932-S Washington quarter in some type of UNC condition.
I don't plan to sell these coins (I...

Just wanted to let you all know that the rcc primitives have arrive safely

Tonight they'll get to visit with some of the coins stacked on my desk.
We've got some old Canadian Large Cents, 1907 Indian Head Cents, a...

Found in cash register by
Bill Krummel
Last night, Eddy (supervisor) brought me what looks like a quarter blank,
retreived from one of the registers. It seems to be slightly raised around
the edge and has the clad (copper color) look on the edge. Could it be
anything other than a blank quarter planchet? ...

Grading of Coins by
Mark Olanoff
Can someone please explain the following:
Coins are sold as Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) Choice BU, etc., however coins
are graded as MS-60 through MS-70. Is there a chart or explanation of BU,
CHBU, etc and how they equate to the grading of coins ie. MS-60 through
MS-70.
Thanks.

Ordinarily I would ship internationally, however, this thing is very heavy.
