Discussion About Bootleg Stamps by
[email protected]
Let's get down to the basics of this scenario. Please chime in if you
want to. In fact, the more the merrier.
Scenario: certain entities, whether they be printers, distributors or
any combination thereof produce some form of postal / package delivery
type of stamp.

Question: Are these...

Size of some Australian stamps by
Sir Hystrix
Hi,
I have downloaded and printed a few example stamp album pages from
www.stampalbums.com. More specifically a page from an Australian stamp
album.
Unfortunately I don't have any Australian stamps. So to be able to see
whether the stamps will fit nicely on the printed paper I need the size...

Best solutions for cross-referencing catalogue numbers? by
Joshua McGee[_3_]
I am now selling on Delcampe, where Scott is most definitely not lingua
franca. Most common seems to be Michel, then Y&T, then SG, then Scott.
I would love to be able to put something like "Mi 345 YT 360 SG 323 Scott
318" in my listing for a stamp, but I don't own all those catalogues.
One...

RCSD - OT - SNA by

Elections are over. Major problems here with the vote tally.
Accusations are flying. Fingerpointing.
For some reason this hellofamess reminded me of those darned SNA
invisible holograms that I thought I lost.
When I opened the box Victor sent I thought I dropped the tihings on
the floor.
Well,...

Michael Crichton, 1942-2008 by

Upon receiving word yesterday that American author Michael Crichton
("Jurassic Park") had died, I rapidly pulled together a philatelic
souvenir and had it cancelled locally at a Los Angeles post office (his
place of death):

Highest/Lowest fv stamp by
Ralphael1
I suppose we will never see a stamp with a higher face value than the
old multi million dollar Gereman stamps. NVI stamps eliminate the need
for face value.
AFAIK the US one half cent issues may be the lowest. There is tinkle
in the OLD noodle that says there may be a one quarter cent stamp...

Oh happy day, almost by
Ralphael1
Yesterday I was using the computer to compile a list of stamps. I went
into a bit of detail making the list and was quite proud I had
finished my task.
I hit the save button and exactly 1/10 of a second later there was a
power interruption. Oh Happy day, God has smiled on me. I ran across
the...

Hi,
This is in reference to Raphael's post 'Oh happy day, almost'.
The subject may be off topic to stamps but if you are entering stamp
data on your computer the links listed may be very useful to answer
any questions or show ways to accomplish a task. The people involved
in these groups are...

Portugal-1953 Mediaeval Knight definitives. by
malcolm
On examining my copies of this VERY common definitive series under a
long-wave lamp - it seems that this occurs on flourescent and non-
flourescent paper.
There is no mention of this in my SG Spain and Portugal catalogue.
There are several copies of each ( but not on every value ) - and...
