Book on Kans. and Nebr. cancels? by Steve
I remember reading someplace about a book on the Kans. and Nebr, overprints (US). I think it dealt with most fakes of these cancels. After searching http://www.abebooks.com/ I couldn't find, I believe it's an old book. Does anyone have more info on this book? Thank you, Steve

Postal stationery question by Bob Ingraham
Is it correct to use the term "stamps" when you are referring to the stamp-like impressions stamped envelopes, wrappers, and postal cards? I know that the term "cut square" is used to refer to the impression when it's cut from the entire piece, but it seems not quite correct to refer to the "stamp"...

Sardinia-Italy Question by Tom Loepp
About the Sardinia stamps and Italy stamps Scott's says " The stamps of Sardinia were superseded in 1862 by those of Italy, which were identical with the 1855 issue of Sardinia, but perforated. Until 1863, imperforate and perforated stamps were issued simultaneously. Sardinia from 1855-1863 had...

SG's "Collect British Stamps, 2004" by Mark Hill
Hi, I'm considering buying Stanley Gibbon's Collect British Stamps, and wondered what others thought about this book. Is this an ideal book for a beginner who wants to specialise in GB stamps? Perhaps something else would be more suitable? Thanks. --

Australia Scott #319 by AK47
Australia Scott #319 ( a minimum value stamp issued in 1959) comes in two types which differ only in the number of engraving lines within the numeral of value. One needs a microscope to see the difference. Question: how did the existence of these varieties first come to be noticed? Also, the stamp...
