Ebay have failed to remove undeserved negatives by Terrance Davis
I recently had an ebay member buy 2 separate items off of me, a common bun head halfpence and a close to Uncirculated 1944 Canada Victory 5 cents, both at opening bid of 99p. When it came to sending an invoice, as a nice gesture I gave the buyer a discounted and combined p&p charge (should have...

Star Notes by bremick
Is there any short term collector premium value on modern star notes that are nice but not crisp new? Every few months or so I run across a clean $20 star note and am tempted to keep it. Are stars less common today that say 20 years ago?

Frank Disappears! by Lord Hawhaw
Yes folks, it's true - Frank has disappeared. After having his head up his ass for the better part of 5 decades, he finally got so far up that he just up and disappeared! In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made to the National Cranial-Rectal Inversion Society.

Golden? by bremick
I expect to see values of precious metals rise and fall for various reasons, but I also thought they were usually immune from "feed-on-itself" panic selling and that's one reason they are recommended as part of an investment portfolio. Time to have faith now and buy some more maybe. At least...

Hi RCC - A general comment by Ken Johnson
Hi RCC, I have been gone for many years, new baby in the house, new job, yada - yada. Needless to say I now have a 12 yr old little boy and he has a 12 yr old friend who has the coin bug. That has caused me to pull my boxes out of the bank and do some digging. Well I dug up RCC as a Google group...

Current opinion on grading/slabbing? by Trevor
I'm getting back into actively collecting coins again, and I'm wondering about the advantages of buying slabbed coins. For example, I'm seeing 2013 silver Libertads being sold slabbed for about 3 times the unslabbed price. Is there any reason I would want to buy the more expensive version?

Help with 1926 Aussie Gold Sovereign by Max Power
I need some help with a 1926 Australian gold Sovereign. Do any experts read this newsgroup ? The mintmark on my coin says "SA" - yet all the books I have claim this style of Sovereign should only be an "S" (Sydney), "M" (Melbourne) or "P" (Perth). What would SA mean ???
