$$ - eBay $1.00 sale ends tomorrow by Glenn Simonelli
A reminder that my most recent eBay $1.00 sale ends tomorrow. Many ancient Roman coins are on sale this week, including coins of Augustus, Caligula and Hadrian. All coins have $1.00 opening bids and no reserves. Most coins are still at $1.00. This is a chance to pick up a Caligua or other emperor...

RCC swap - you're welcome! by BobbyShaw
Hey everybody! As more and more of the swap notices are posted, a lot of people are throwing thanks my way. I'm glad I turned this into another successful year, and didn't end up as "That Damn" Robert (we'll keep that nickname reserved for Bill!) Well, I just wanted to acknowledge everyone's...

Does the IRS encourage newbies to use Littleton, Coin Vault, ACG, big CW advertisers, etc? by Paul Robertz
Now that the year is almost spent, I wonder if the federal government might supply some relief for uninformed new coin collectors who paid for unwise numismatic "investments". I am not concerned with tax laws for those who consider buying and selling coins a sufficient business to file a Schedule...

Gremlins stole my coins by Adam Ben Nalois
I had hundreds of valuable coins, but one night gremlins invaded my house and stole them. My dog catched one of the gremlins and ate it, but most of the coins are gone. So beware of coin-stealing gremlins !

Small hoard of 1985 Cents by Vector
Twenty years ago it was pretty common for me to buy $20 or more in pennies every payday, go through them looking for goodies, re-wrap and spend the rest. Ok, you've done that before. Anyway, on one occassion, my bank haul included 28 rolls of uncirculated 1985-P cents. I placed them in square...

Dec. 15 expected to be busiest day of year at USPS by John Stone
Just a heads up. Monday, Dec. 15 is expected to be the busiest day of the year at the post office for people shipping packages. If you are planning on shipping Ebay items or whatever at the P.O on Monday be forewarned. There will of course be some people who have never shipped a package in their...

Responses To eBay Queries by Larry Louks
Hi Folks, Seems of late that I have run into several non-responders when asking a seller about a coin that I'm thinking of bidding on. One would think that a reply would be "part and parcel" of the overall buying/selling experience, wouldn't one? Maybe it's because these have been relatively...

New ANA Member by Larry Louks
Hi Folks, I've been thinking of joining for a while, and decided that now is the time to do so. So as of this week, I'm a card-carrying member. I called the office a few days ago and now have a book headed this way from the library to see how that process works. I look forward to being a...

Here's another thing which won't make it out of committee.... by ELurio
The Reagan dime. If they couldn't get a post-Jefferson nickel because of the Virginia congressional delegation, then they won't get a post-FDR dime because the NYS delegation is twice as big and they have lots more clout. If you're going to have a Republican on the money , it should be....wait a...

OT bad time to order stuff from England! by BobbyShaw
I purchased an item from a UK company yesterday. The total was GBP 11.58. I was sort of expecting that to translate into around $17.00 US, but was quite shocked when I punched that into a currency calculator and it spit out a total over $20.00! I looked at a currency graph (...

IBSCC Bulletin by Jorg Lueke
