John Taormina
In connection with various discussions on 'cut squares' and if they are
still collectible, I thought that lot #1483 in the Shreves Collector's
Series Sale - April 12-14, 2007, would be of interest. Estimated at $US
15,000 it is currently at $5,250 (at the time of posting). Go here for

Letterbox wait for post office
A new post office in Devon faces a two-month wait before it can install
a post box outside its entrance.
The post office recently opened in Exeter's £225m Princesshay centre,
but could not put in the customary letter slots because of its glass front.
It is now...

Typo. and Litho by
Ben
I have read the explanations in the Sott catalog as to how Litho and
Typo. stamps are printed. Could someone give me a quick lesson in how
you tell the difference?
The stamps in question are Yugoslavia Postage due 1951-52 and 1962.

Q: Guy Fawkes on Stamps by
Mette
Last night I was contacted by one of my youth-club members, who is
fascinated about the idea of Bonfire Night, and who asked whether I know of
any stamps featuring Guy Fawkes? I don't, but admit there might well be
some, at least from the countries still commemorating this fellow. Countries

Inherited Album by
wms
Hi all
Over the weekend I somehow inherited a stamp album off my mother. From what
I gather about it, a large number of the stamps in it came from a neighbour
of hers back in the late 1940`s, and she continued to add to it up until

Basically I plan...
