Loose Nibs by R
Hi again all, I got a question, and yes, I have Da Book, so if it's there just point me to the page and I will find other questions to ask. I have noticed on a couple of older fps I have looked at that the nib is loose. It can be easily shifted from side to side of the feed. When in the proper...

How do i unscrew the section form the barrel to get to the inksac? Does is unscrew or do I pull ? And if it unscrews - clockwise or anticlockwise ( seen from above nib down). I soaked it overnight but no matter which way I turn or pull it won't come loose and I 'm a bit hesitant to apply more force...

Parker 21 hood removal by walt kuciej
Hi, I want to do a nib transplant on an NOS Parker 21, from EF to Med. This is the 21 model with the "brittle" plastic, not a Super 21. I've been successful at removing Super 21 and 51 Special hoods using hot H2O and gripping cloth. Is there a good way to do the 21, and is it worth the risk? TIA....

Same ink, same sheet of paper, two different pens.. so why does the ink look different? by GrailKing@oops!.Not.The.Realm.net
Ink is Waterman Blue, the paper is standard writing stock, one pen is a Retro 51 Goldline, the other is a Hero Dragon and Phoenix, both are medium nibs yet the Retro is always lighter. Why? GK =================================== Of Course The Address is Munged ===================================

The life of a pen ..and a car by Nancy Handy
Frank, I think there may have been a miscommunique. Not the part about you being the group's pen repair expert - I mean, you wrote da book plus I recall you saying you repair something like 1000+ pens a month. I mean the part about using ink colors. I get the impression that you think that people...

Snorkel O-rings by John DiClemente
Does anyone know the size of the o-rings for Sheaffer Snorkels? I believe that O-rings come in industry standard size numbers, so that a particular size (like 001) from any manufacturer is the same. While on the subject, any thoughts on sources. I know Fr. Terry sells them; anyone...

Parker Dimonite Ruthenium by Jeff
Does anyone have any information about an apparently new pen from Parker? They seem to be positioning it with (against?) the Frontier line. Here's a picture of it: http://www.parkerpen.co.uk/pics/search_116 I found it located at the UK site http://www.parkerpen.co.uk listed for £5.00 - £9.99 but...

Bad News about Cross by john cline ii
I thought this would be posted here already. If it has been, I apologize. I have been out of circulation for awhile, and this time it had nothing to do with vacation, work or coasters. Anyway, Cross is eliminating 80 manufacturing jobs in Rhode Island and 80 non-manufacturing jobs worldwide. ...

Waterman Phileas "kit" by Maeven
Several years ago I bought a Waterman Phileas "kit" that had the pen and three nibs with a bottle of ink. I have a friend I'm trying to get into fountain pens and I think this kit would be perfect. Do they sell them anymore? I can't seem to find them, although I just may be looking in the wrong...
