India~Isolating anti theft from cover tying. by rodney
I have had this stamp in my collection 7 years, and always had it under "anti theft", which it is really, but on closer inspection, "anti theft" can be broken into 2 sub groups. (a) Anti theft (mint stamps marked by the owner to provide security from theft from the premises) (b) Anti theft cover...

The Einstein Factor by rodney
This question had nobody offering the correct answer, even the "Brains trust" were stumped. I had it correct, but you know, I couldn't name the colours, I just knew they were almost identical. The question was: What country's flag is closest in similarity to the Romania flag? a. Angola

US stamps used for money/payment by phantomm_1
Hello, During my stamp searching adventures, I often came across old ads on paper for various things offered for sale thru the mail. Some of these ads state: Do not send Stamps for payment, or something similar. So stamps were used as money for some things it seems.

OT perhaps? Alicia de Larrocha 1923-2009 by Tony Vella
My favorite concert pianist of all time, Alicia de Larrocha, has passed away. No one has ever interpreted Albeniz's Iberia or Granados's Goyescas like she did. Her rendition of the Nights in the Gardens of Spain is a must in any collection. If there ever was an occasion that called for Spain...
