Question on Plastic Piece Falling out of Cap of Rollerball by eb
I have a rollerball which I like - the white plastic cylindrical piece within the cap, which keeps the cap on tight when the pen is closed and when the cap is placed on the bottom end of the pen when it is in use, is now falling out. The inside of the cap is metal. I tried super glue but it held...

Why sheared necks ? by Andy Dingley
I happened to pick up a couple of old inks recently. I've no intention of collecting the things, I just needed something to store ink in! One is an 8-sided aqua glass marked "Hyde" & "London". So now I'm wondering why inks had sheared necks? It's an ugly thing, and must have had a certain...

wedding present by Juan
Hi, I am searching for a wedding present for my best friend. My girlfriend and me have decided on a pair of fountain pens. It's the kind of present with the two essential requisites to be the perfect present, namely A something you don't need;and B, something unexpected. Yesterday I had a look in...

FS : Misc. Fountain Pens by Jeff Davis
For a variety of reasons I'm selling some of my pens. All are good shape, I would call them "daily writers". They are not mint, or NOS and don't include boxes or papers. I offer a 3 day return policy (less shipping costs) if they are returned in the same condition as when shipped. Montblanc...

Cap spring damaged on Parker 51 by John B. Egger
Drying the cap with a twisted paper towel, I used too much force and twisted one of the four finger-stock springs that holds the cap on. Its resting position is now nearly 3/16" from the inside surface of the cap. Needless to say, I now must be cautious about inserting the pen into the cap to avoid...

Why FP nibs suddenly flood? by Pahoo
Hello to all who have been so helpful in the past. I have a Pelikan Go! and a Borghini with converter. After a week or so of great, normal flow, all of a sudden they start getting wetter, and then flood to the point of a drip of ink coming out as I pull of the caps. Inks have been Private...

Adjusting Cap Fit by majl
I have an Aurora Ipsilon Deluxe fountain pen. Unfortunately, the cap no longer fits tightly - I've got a coupled ink stained shirts to prove it. Is there a way to adjust the cap fit, short of sending the pen in for repairs? Thanks in Advance, Gary

One ink, two different colours fom two different pens by Cuba
I just got a Rotring Core and filled it with the Schaeffer Skip Jet Black I use in my other Rotring, a 400 series, but upon writing I have found that it is considerably blacker than out of my 400. Both pens have medium nibs, so what would make the 400 write less black, is it because more air it...
