Nickel Education by
Scott Newman
Hey guys, I'm fairly new to collecting and have been getting into varieties
via old copper. However, I guess I'm a sheep and have been starting to look
at nickels due to the new designs and have a few questions.
1) Is there a good book for jefferson nickel varieties? I have the Breen

SCWC 1901 to present 2006 edition for $5 by
PossumTrot
No it's not for sale! It's what I paid last weekend at the semi-annual
book sale from the Seattle Public Library. It's in perfect condition,
doesn't look like it was ever used. RCCers should check their local library
sales for such bargains.

Vincenzo
I'm just a numismatic newbie and i'm italian.
I just want to ask which is a good price to buy a NCG MS70 10$ Platinum
Eagle 2002.
I saw on the PCGS price guide and it says that this coin is worth 1550$.
How much could a NGC MS70 be worth?

Proof that you're coming along in coin collecting by
frank wight
I opened up a safety deposit box that has been closed up for the
past three years to see what it was that I was protecting. These
coins were pulled out of circulation and housed in 2X2's.
What a surprise to see a lot of junky clad coins that were worn,
stained, damaged from the mint and common...

bags and rolls to sift thru - what do I look for? by
Mark Reed
A few collectors have told me that I should get rolls and bags of
circulated coins and spend my casual time lookign through them for any
thing that stands out... they really didnt go into details, and Im still
too new to really know what exactly I should be looking for other than the
obvious wheat,...

Vatican 2005 "World Youth Day" coins finally received by
Harv
The mailman just handed me another package from The Pope. The two 2 Euro
2005 "World Youth Day" Commemoratives. These were I think the first Pope
Benedict coins, although his image is not on them. Here's how slow the UFN
is. I mailed the order form to them (and shot a picture of it, since...

can someone help me understand this... by
Mark Reed
Im new to collecting... and have been wondering about something...
Why are single coins worth more than a mint set (or proof) of that same
year?
For example, PCGS lists the 1979 mint set as valued at $9.
But if I look up a 1979P SBA Dollar, its listed at $25 for a MS64 and 1979D
at $15 for MS64.

Stone Trolled Steve Austin
I searched and can't find vam info except the random auction links. Is
there a good page with descriptions of the "popular" or valuable vams,
ideally with pictures also? My interest is casual and I don't have many
morgans so I can't see buying 'the book'. Comments, criticism??? Thanks

Jackpot with 2005 Golden Dollars! by
Barney
I've usually been picking up about 4 rolls at the bank (Bank One now
Chase) about once a week. I separate the SBAs from the GDs and use the
GDs for change. I normally don't look at each coin to see what year it
is, however if there is one that's unusually shinny I always give it a
quick look. By...

Help Recover Erased Messages by
A.E. Gelat
From time to time, my server downloads old messages that I have previously
read and deleted. Sometimes, there could be a hundred or more of these old
messages. HELP suggested that I select the deletion of all messages that
are older than three days. When I tried that, I lost all the...

1994-P Roosevelt Dime Lamination Error by
Scott McNair
I'm relatively new to the art of coin collecting; I collected as a kid,
then got out of it when adolescence set. Recently I inherited my
grandfather's coin collection, which has resparked my interest. He
doesn't have anything that's really valuable, but he does have a mostly
complete set of...
