The New Ebay by
[email protected]
Dear Friend,
Please read the following information about a new internet site my boys

a school teacher for 30 years, teaching children with special needs. My
son,...

Has anyone seen an update on Kyle and the skunk?

Numismedia article: $50 Gold Buffalo sucking money out of rare coin market by
Harv
"Coin Dealer? Or Mint Lackey? We are in the midst of a multi-tiered coin
market that has many dealers wondering if they are real numismatists or just
unpaid representatives of the U.S. Mint actively supporting the secondary
market for mint products. The recent release of the $50 Gold Buffalo...

Cliff for President! by
Mr. Jaggers
Several days ago our own "Cliff" posted a scan of a 1954 South African proof
penny on abpn. The toning on this is breathtaking. Have a look for
yourself among the September 23 postings.
After a couple of newsgroup exchanges, he offered to send it to me as a
gift. I gladly accepted, and now...

Academic Degrees in Coin Collecting by
Bones
Why is it that so many coin collectors, dealers, and collector/dealers
use academic degrees after their names? Are we supposed to be impressed
that a person is an MD or a PhD?
Unless the degree is in numismatics, does its mention really belong in
this type of venue? My point here is that, if your...

This Thursday was the first of our clubs (Twin Cities Ancient Coin

church in Saint Paul and this year the rooms would be all new since the
renovation had recently been completed. The day before the show my

Grade this key date coin--1888 2 Franc found in change. Pretty ugly! by
bri
I'm going to say...
hmmmmm
G4?
Looks cleaned with 2 large rim dings.
Probably worth about 15 bucks maybe? 10? How about a cheeseburger on
Tuesday? ;-)
My friend who found this (thought it was a SBA dollar) says you can see all
the lettering on the reverse but you can't tell by his scan-job.
