cancellation on a postcard.
If he is still around, I have a 5 page discussion on the

Should I find a discrepancy, and I do occasionally with date of issue,
who do I believe?
I know the year is good enough in most cases but sometimes the full
date is more desirable.

This may or may not be of interest, but mentions
Thursday island and mails that were flowing.
Interesting that 35 letters a week were going to Port Moresby
from Cooktown in 1885, servicing just 20 coastal non indegenes.
