smudge over $3....

Article on a new find - Crossman eyedropper by
[email protected]
Fellow Collectors,
Found a very unusual pen over the summer and posted questions about it
here shortly after our return from Maine.
Rob Astyk was very kind to supply a lot of information including patent
numbers and background on it and I look forward to his article on the
pen.
Here is a short...

ACME pens by
Sally Waters
I've been a bit surprised that ACME pens aren't mentioned that much here.
Although they're a bit heavy for me -- and I find that I can write much
better with them if I leave the cap unposted -- for me, they're the perfect
blend of funky aesthetics and not-too-expensive pen. (I just got the
Simpsons...

How 2 make ink "oilier" by
BigBen
Hi All,
My experiments tell me that black ink is generally the smoothest of
all colors - everything else being equal, of course - but while I love
the smoothness of black ink, I'd still like to use a (very) diferent
color.
So, any tips on how to make my Waterman Havana Brown smoother?
(I do...

broad nibs by
jeffdanz
I have never used a broad nib. Is what is considered a broad nib (like in a
Cross pen) suitable for calligraphy or is even a wider nib needed to get the
variations in line width. Anyone have any writing examples? thanks.

Sheaffer pen, model 850 by
Jake Issaacs
Today we began the process of clearing out some of my late mother-in-law's
items from her desk. Among the things we found and my my wife wants to keep
is a pen and pencil set. The pencil is intact, but the pen appears to be
missing something. It is a Sheaffer Model 850 (as best I can make it...

I love writing with fountain pens, but have terrible handwriting. Can
anyone recommend any sites or books that talk about how to improve
handwriting? or, any sites that have writing examples and exercises?
thanks.

Can you name this pen? by
citybeing
Hi all,
I received the following pen as a gift 5+ years ago. I was just
curious what its brand/model is:
http://photos.yahoo.com/citybeing78
The logo appears to be the lower-case greek letter lambda. Any
information would be appreciated!
