A nice ancient find? by
Mark Cooper
A while back I bought a lot of uncleaned roman coins from our very own Glen
Simonelli off ebay. So I've had them soaking in distilled water for quite
some time, occasionally getting them out to scrub with a toothbrush. One I
found interesting was a tad bigger than a quarter and seemed to have a...

Movie & TV Stuff at Awesome Prices! by

Headers duly trimmed as necessary
Oh, now I see. This at first appeared to be unwanted spam with nothing
germane to a group promoting the pleasure and enjoyment of numismatics. But
then there at the end is the mention of "99 cents" that we were all hoping
to see...

Go ahead -- "take a peak" (sic) by
Amistad
I've sometimes said on here that I never bid on coins where both sides are
not shown. In this case, it wouldn't matter. ;-) But what if that Morgan
is an 1893-S? I guess maybe in this case, it wouldn't matter.

london /paris trip - where and how to buy coins by
rono
Howdy all,
Headed to London and Paris for a long week and was wondering if there
are any easy ways to purchase coins. Of course I'll be combing my
change and hoarding in that sense, but was curious about mint sets,
etc.
thanks,
rono

US cents: Worth saving all 1981 and earlier dates (copper)? by
blue[_3_]
On about.com I came across an article written by a supposed (probable) coin
expert when browsing wheat cent value charts, and he noted that all wheat
pennies are basically worth 2 cents but actually more like 3 cents currently
for their copper bullion value. Then I found a related article saying...

Am I the only one? by
Amistad
Friends, I have developed a strong desire for collecting US coins that have
dramatic die clashes on them. I love to acquire a two cent piece, three
cent piece, or some other old coin from that era that displays evidence of
the dies smacking against each other without a planchet between them. I...

Australian florins and pennys by
J
Hello,
Would anyone here happen to know of today's value of these coins? I
have six Australian florins 1946, 53, 54, 60 and a 1962 penny. They
are all tarnished but in great condition in my opinion. I also have
some coins from canada and New Zealand. If anyone could help me out
I'd appreciate...

Problems with coin wallets by

I store my coins in coin wallets and for the first time in years I've
checked up on them and they are all dirty and/or covered in a green

Is there any way to safely clean these?

NM Gov picks NM state quarter by

King Bill Richardson has waved his hand and a selection has been made -
BORING!!! Same symbol on our St flag and many other objects. Its as
common here as the Coyote, scarf and moon scene. Funny that it's said
to be the colors of Spain, yet the Zia Indian tribe calls it theirs and

When the auction Title alludes to something being different about the
reverse of a coin, why on earth would you not show a photo of said reverse?
