Ancient coin auction, no reserves, 398 lots by
fsrcoin
My new Auction 71 is now posted at my website. It has 398 lots of
ancient & early coins, 98% unreserved; mostly nice, scarce,
interesting material; some group lots, some literature, and some fixed
price specials. Bids are reduced in my sales; the average reduction
has been 15-20%. There are...

Monroe Dollar coins struck on Quarter planchets by
shreadvector
http://www.coinworld.com/
This story keeps changing, but CW seems to stick by their original
story that some will make it to the street since they are already
released into the distribution chain. In other words, they seem to be
saying that they may have found some of them during...

Still kickin' in Texas by
Amistad
Just a quick note to say "Howdy!" to my coin-collecting pals here on RCC.
I'm still alive and doing well here in the shadow of the Alamo, and I still
enjoy coins a great deal.
I've been spending a lot of my time recently learning about self
defense/home defense. I've recently been granted a...

Check out 1899 IHC (cud by feather?) by
don't look
Posted some pics at the binaries site. I see some kind of extra metal on
this one between the feather and the R in America.
Can Anyone tell if this coin has been tampered with at all? Thanks

Uncirculated coins for coin books by
Chuck Miller
Ever since the mint started using the "Satin Finish" on the Unc. sets I have
been questioning whether to use them for my books or to find another source
for Unc. Business strikes.
Any thoughts or recommendations?
Thanks - Chuck

Never pay the Mint by check by
RF
Ordered some coins by mail from the Mint last month.
Checked cleared right away.
Long story short, 1 month later they still hadn't shipped the coins
and told me it will take another "4 to 8 weeks" despite the fact their
website claims coins are "in stock and reserved".
Cancelled my order and was...

proof/mint set book values - how? by
hoshie
Hello all,
Last X-Mas Santa left a 1980 and 2007 proof set under the tree.
Looking though my Red Book and my copies of Coins Magazine and Coin
Prices, I see a listing of the sets. I realize that supply and demand
has a lot to do with the pricing, but how does one figure out the
price of a set? Am...
