Scott Specialized Catalog - Expo Cancellations by Kent[_2_]
The Scott Specialized Catalog shows higher values for stamps with Expo Machine Cancellations and Expo Hand Cancellations. Can anyone explain what this means? Are they talking about one specific Exposition or any Exposition? Thanks, Kent

Queen Victoria Revenue Used in Victoria in 1961 by [email protected]
I place the date of this manuscript cancel as 5/17/61 or for those inclined 17/5/61. Now, after how many kings, queens and different royal players, this stamp comes out of the closet to be used. http://www.adirondack-pc.com/VictoriaQVRev.jpg Now, these stamps are definitely a quandary. It is...

Machin Madness - A Revenue Cancel? by [email protected]
Here's a little ditty from a Machin lot. I have no clue where I picked it up, only that it looks like a "fee due" cancel. Not postal fee, unless there's a surcharge or something that Royal Mail does. Just thought I'd post this for the Machin lovers out...

Australia First Flight Mini-sheet by [email protected]
This has to be a reprint. Do not mind the stock page line. A small semi-crease in the upper right selvage. This was just posted here recently as a used item. I believe this sucker came in a HUGE box from (some of our member's favorite Aussie) Glen Stephens - I'm guessing. Can anyone tell me...

Hungary 1 Pengo Revenue Stamp by [email protected]
As we have been discussing inflation - Zim and Pengo alike, I found a 1 Pengo revenue stamp from our beloved Hungary. http://www.adirondack-pc.com/Pengo.jpg Hungary and Austria printed up some nice revenues in their time. This is a little more bland, but still nice enough. Imagine using these 1...

Sheet Pricing by Kent[_2_]
How are sheets of stamps priced? I have quite a few sheets generally from 1948-1949 in perfect condition in a Gimbels File. Scott does not appear to price sheets. The H.E. Harris Catalog seems to show prices five to fifteen times face value.

Green & Blue Coloring - Panama Pacific Expo 1 Cent - Scott #397 by Kent[_2_]
Has anyone heard of U.S. Scott #397 Panama Pacific Expo 1 Cent stamp having Blue coloring on the left and green coloring on the right? This coloring shows up under natural light or with a flashlight, but not under fluorescent light. The blue appears very close to the 5 cent stamp of the same...

Value of Old Stamp Still on Original Envelope? by Kent[_2_]
My grandfather accumulated a number of old envelopes with U.S. stamps still on them. Several are from 1894 and the following 5-10 years. Some have reasonably valuable stamps such as Scott 240, 291, 311, 327, 299, 310 and E1. Are these envelopes with stamps more valuable than the canceled...

Incorrect Scott Numbers in 1943 Scott Stamp Album? by Kent[_2_]
Does anyone know if Scott changed the early stamp numbering sometime after 1943? The Scott International Junior Stamp Album copyright 1943 has a few U.S. stamps that are marked differently from what we use today. For example, Scott #33 is actually Scott #11. Scott #214 is actually Scott #212.

ebay policy on fakes and forgeries ... and imitations by omega45
the new policy, has stalled bids ... with lots being withdrawn . a new requirement - a "Fake handstamp" must be applied to objects prior to listing ... to me, this does make sense. devalues items ... and is a form of decrimination. neither the FIP or AIEP experts use handstamps ... they...
