cleaning coins by
Alicia
Hi everyone,
I am new to this newsgroup and would like to ask a question if I may. :-)
Does anyone know the best way to clean coins, particularly the old ones. We
tried a jewelery cleaner and it did nothing to them.
I appeciate your responses.
Kind regards,
Alicia

My husband wants to buy me a metal-detector for my birthday (hey- how
many women can say that!). We are in SC and frequently watch the
local show "Treasure Hunters'. What we want to know is: How do I
know if I'm on somebody's property, and if perchance I am, is whatever

Wes Chormicle
I posted a pic over at ABPN of that date on a recently acquired 1858 FE.
I'd be interested in what you think. Strike doubling or DDO.

Help me grade this Half Eagle? by
Tom
I just got my first gold Indian Half Eagle 1913.
I could need some help grading this coin as it is my first.
I have paid around 196 US dollar for it, and I would like to know if you
think the price is ok.
I can't post it to the newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.numismatic so you
have to see the coin...

Greetings!
Some of you may have taken advantage of a recent offer here to own a gjen-u-wine

Advice Sought on inherited coin collection by
jimyyz
My father, who passed away recently, collected coins. He's got coins
from almost every year. Many were kept in coin-collection books (?)
(i.e. quarters 19xx - 19xx) others are in individual packets. There are
several comemorative sets as well.
What is the best way to catalogue and value the set?...
