On your next coffee break...
Granted, _slightly_ off topic, but worth a look if you haven't seen this:

The humor page under "misc" is pretty good too:

2006 Jefferson nickels by
Dave Allured
Yesterday Jan. 26 I picked up some BU rolls of 2006-D "Return to
Monticello" nickels at my friendly local FirstBank in the Denver,
Colorado area.
At first glance it's the same old Monticello. But a closer look shows
modified and improved details in the engraving. The steps seem really
straight...

1862 Indian cent (error?) by
[email protected]
I was recent high bidder on a coin which has probably been buried for
the past 150 years or so.
The link is to a large photograph of the coin.
The error is the date: 1362 instead of 1862.
I am also appending the sole comment by Ira Stein regarding the coin.

Posts by those with vulgar IDs by
Ira Stein
There have been at least a couple of posts by an idiot who thinks it's
fiendishly clever to hide behind a vulgar and crude ID, and both these
posts had reasonable and perhaps thought-provoking topics.
But, I will not respond to such posts by those who hide behind vulgar
and adolescnt IDs because I...

Jackie Robinson commemorative $5 gold MS by
jondo220
Why is this one so much more than other commemoratives with similar
mintage numbers?
Why has it's price skyrocketed in the past few years?
Were most actually sold, or were most melted?
Capitol Visitor's Center $5 seems to be taking on that type of growth.
Salt Lake $5 soon?
thanks

Oh, GREAT! Thanks, Ira! LOL! by
Eric Babula
Here, I placed a $0.99 placeholder bid on a nice 1922 ICG Peace Dollar,
due to end in 6 days. I already got outbid by one person, who got outbid
by none other than iras4!
Guess I'm not gonna get that coin. Six days left, and I surrender
already! Not enough cash in my bank account to compete with...

Nobody Loves L. A. by
andyandy68
So, I've heard of a lot of coin shows...but not of one in Los Angeles.
Is there a coin show that passes through L. A. ? I've never been to
one, and would enjoy going.
Thanks

FA: PCGS and NGC 64-66 Red Indian Cents Less then 48 hrs left by
dmzcompute
Some of these are still way below wholesale. 1905 and 1884 are really
worth a lot more money.

Roll Finds of the weekend by
Alan Williams
Included a better date wheaties for a change, a 1953-S. ;-) The nickel
rolls produced a 1952-S Jeff and a 1980 5 Cent copper from the
Netherlands! (Now there is a series I wouldn't attempt from circulation!)

Ben Franklins over half sold out in six days by
Harv
From the weekly Numismatic News newsletter:
QUOTE:
If you're thinking about buying the new Benjamin Franklin commemorative
silver dollars from the U.S. Mint, better think fast.
Over half of the Franklin commemoratives were sold as of Jan. 25, after six
days of sales.
