Euro coins crossing borders? by
Serenus Zeitblom
I recall that before the Euro was introduced, there
was much speculation about how many coins would cross
borders. From what I hear from friends in Europe, this
seems to be happening a lot less than expected, except
in places like Paris and Venice where the reason is obvious.
A friend in Italy...

eBay: No More Retaliatory Feedback From Sellers by
Phil DeMayo
eBay has just announced a myriad of changes too numerous to list here
(I've included a link to the announcement below).
One of the most significant changes (for buyers) stems from the fact
that eBay has discovered that sellers leave negative feedback 8 times
more frequently than buyers. They...

HOLIDAY SWAP suggestions by
BobbyShaw
I posted earlier trying to get info from previous swap coordinators, but I
found all my old information, and believe I'm quite ready to handle my hosting
duties this year (but if any previous coordinators want to give me some advice,
things to avoid, etc.. I'm all ears!)
Anyways, I want to get...

Opinions on ATB 5 oz. coins? by
Trevor
I've sort of been in and out of this hobby over the years. I recently
discovered the 5 oz. ATB series. I bought one of the Arches coins,
because it's a National Park that's close to me, and I've enjoyed
visiting many times.
What are the opinions on this series? It turned out to be a lot larger...

JFK 2015 Coin & Chronicles Set by
Old Usenet User
Got on the Mint site at Noon Wednesday - system was a little slow and I
had to reload the page a few times during checkout but I got my order
for two in.
Notified that they were shipped today.
They apparently sold out because when I looked at the Mint site today,
they are on back order.
So,...

Alan Williams -- Periodic Post by
Reid Goldsborough
In an anonymous email message I received yesterday I was called a
coward for not responding to yet another of Alan Williams' periodical
attack posts. I deleted this goading junk, as I delete all junk email,
as soon as I saw what it was about. Though I've been trying lately to
turn the other cheek...

Morgan dollar 1894-P going cheap (???) by
Bob Hairgrove
I hate it when a reputable dealer with good feedback puts coins like
this in eBay starting at EUR 1:
http://cgi.ebay.com/1-DOLLAR-1894-MORGAN-DOLLAR-SS_W0QQitemZ8399850300QQcategoryZ42727QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It looks a lot like an altered date to me (1885 - 1894). Anyone else
have some solid...

"2 EURO Commemorative coin 'Bartolomeo Borghesi" by
gogu
Hi folks!
Today I received an order form from San Marino for their "2 EURO
Commemorative coin 'Bartolomeo Borghesi" at 10 euros a piece (plus
shipping).
I know that something similar was discussed here a few weeks (?) ago but I
think it was about the 2 euros Vatican commemorative coin.
Is this...

Whitman Classic Type Set Album #9138 by
Skip Waisner
Anyone know what all is included in the Whitman Classic Type Set Album
#9138. I asked the same question about the Dansco album last week, and
received a very nice list. I'm trying to decided between these two albums.
I like the Dansco, but don't really like the price. Anyone have an...

HELP! Won fake Ebay item, don't want to pay by
[email protected]
Recently I was high bidder on what was described as a 1936 US PROOF
TRIBUTE SET. Further research proved, after I had bid on the item
assuming it was a real 1936 Proof Set, that it was not.
Accorind to the Hobby Protection Act, such sets must be marked by
"copy" or "replica". I do not believe this...

E-Bay Coin Prices by
Do any of you collectors know what has happened to E-Bay coin prices.
I have purchased many coins on E-Bay.
It looks like all the sellers have got together, and are trying to robb the
private collector, and buyer.
I have started going to my local coin shop to buy, and he is more
reasonable.
