Your 5 choices by
jim
Hello:
I am just wondering something you might of never thought in a few
years, but if you were stranded on a desert island, what 5 postages
stamps would you like to have with you? I mean what would you like to
look at, for the rest of your time before you got picked up?

I am wondering if Stanley Gibbons lists this mini sheet?
Scott (apparently) lists the sheet as unofficial, but the stamps valid.
BTW, I thought a good film of 2005 of Sophie Scholl, a very brave young
lady.

Commonwealth Cable Colour Shift Flaw by
[email protected]
Hi, I have a block of two 1/6d Commonweath Cable (COMPAC) stamps that
have a flaw in that the black colour has shifted upwards by a couple
of mm. I cannot find any other examples of this flaw on auction sites
such as ebay. Is this a rare flaw or am I looking in the wrong
place? Cheers, David.

Say Cheese! by

Very occasionally stamps have been produced entirely by photography. The
issues made in Mafeking during the siege of 1900 were done that way, and the
reason why they are blue instead of black or brown and white is that a
ferro-prussiate printing process was used.
(Previously, the lads were the...
