North Ingermanland by
Alan
Whilst on the subject of the benighted North Ingermanland can anyone
tell me whether covers (genuine rather than philatelic) are relatively
common or uncommon as the case may be?

advice please on selling stamp collections...? by
Bailee
hello.
my mother passed away recently, leaving a stamp collection behind. since
she worked in a post office back in the 50's and 60's, she regularly saved
'corners' of new stamp issues; as well she has corners of stamps that go
back to the 1930's and 40's. Most of these are in mint condition. ...

The mystery remains.

unfortunately I'm unable to find any new information on the question of
who designed the NSW 'Laureate' issue. There would appear to be many
references to the...

An old lady, the Stamp Trader List, needs a little more than a

In order to do that I need help from one or more with thorough

with php and MySql I have none myself.
The task will be to participate in building a complete new STL-site

The SNA Humor Award by
Victor Manta
The first SNA Humor Award was won by the French Southern and Antarctic
Territories sheet.
The reason of this choice becomes obvious when one attentively reads the
text presented on the sheet.

Try this one for size.

The picture shows the extremely rare "blobby printing on curled up paper"
variety and the accuracy of the issue date in the description clearly shows
an intense research.

Interesting and dispassionate posting. I have started a new thread in order
to find it a bit easier.
Contrary to what some think, this subject is related to philately, because
it is related to the editing and publishing philatelic articles on websites.
An example will follow below.
Firstly, some...

Helvetia by
[email protected]
I suspect that Helvetia is but an allegorical figure similar to
"JohnBull" or "America" (see US-Sc #573 $5.oo ).
..
Somewhere around 1800 there was a "Helvetic Republic" formed.

Don't change the subject line, please! by
Toke Nřrby
When you answer to a posting in a thread - please don't change the
subject line as my news reader turn that answer into a brand new
posting - outside the original thread. It is much easier for (I'm
sure) most of us to keep the relevant posting in the original thread
if you leave the subject line...

exactly chimical translations, "essence minérale" or now 'essence type

time. Truth be told, I like...
