Surrealist stamps by
danielcboyer
The first that I know of were issued for the World Surrealist
Exhibition in Chicago in 1976, and there was a later (1996) souvenir
sheet commemorating the twentieth anniversary of these.

Envelope Collective by
danielcboyer
It's a bit of a stretch in terms of the subject of this group, but
there is some interest in terms of used stamps on cover for those to
be seen at Envelopecollective.com .

KennyMcVaySOB
Notice that the prestigious listing of stamp shows in Canada and the USA,
is now omitting the Edmonton Stamp Show.
Is this because there no longer is an Edmonton Stamps show?
Or, is it because of too many complaints from dealers who had their
stock stolen while...

Difference between photo and litho machins by
Alfred Lee
My fellow philatelists
I thought I knew how to differentiate between litho and photo machins. But
last night, while attempting to sort my 1000s of freshly soaked little
queens, I could not positively tell one from the other. So, pray tell, if
there is a website dedicated to the study of...

Machin head album ages by

I've a nice collection of Machin heads that I fully intend one day to go

look than...

Curiosity Corner 285 dear william. by
Rod
FYI
that entire shown was a forgery. (Queen Victoria to William Shakespeare)
(possibly the very first philatelic forgery?)
A 17 year old youth, William Henry Ireland,
forged the letter to impress his father. 1794
He went on to also forge a Shakespeare play,
which was produced and staged ~ once...
