Seated dime folks, please look at this auction of mine by
Cliff
I got this dime in with a bunch of other coins. Do you agree that
it's just excessive wear on the reverse and not a filled die or
something like that. Let me know what you think. I don't want to
screw someone over by giving a worse than my normal dissertation on
the...

Will Heritage go the way of the Franklin Mint? by
Cliff
I've watched, with interest, the way that Heritage Rare Everything has
spread into all areas of collectibles. This, I believe, is what lead
to the downfall of Franklin Mint. FM wasn't happy just minting coins
and art bars, they had to branch out into books, dolls, chess sets and
a whole lot of...

Being taken "off the hook"... by
Larry Louks
If you've done much online bidding on coins, you've likely had an experience
where you have made a bid, and then later realized that you had erred in
making the bid, wishing that you could reduce it.
I recently had an experience where I looked at the wrong column of values,
and made a bid based on...

Bill Yates Dead by
Bob Peterson
this may mean that at least one of frank's supporters actually existed.
otoh, it seems odd that a widow would make an assertion about her late
husband "hating" a politician.
I find it sad that the memory of her husband that she communicates to a
perfect stranger is one of his irrational hatred of...

Bust Half Question by
Retire to Italy
hello all
Another beginner question.
It relates to Bust half dollars eg 1829 .... I notice that there is a
high mintage of this coin but it appears to be in relative short supply
in good grades.
Just wondering Am I correct in this assumption ie high mintage yet not
in over supply.

Shipping Costs Ebay by
Steven
I have noticed that many are complaining about the cost for shipping on
ebay. I for one have complained about shipping costs on a few of my
purchases and then was given negative feedback for doing so. I have a
business that I ship all the time, so I know what it costs to ship items. Of
course...

One Euro (Medal?) Help ID Please. by
line123
Posted message with same subject (but with pix) in
alt.binaries.pictures.numismatic. Decided to post here since there's more
traffic.
Don't know what this thing is - I'm guessing it's a medal. However, it says
"1 Euro" and is dated 1998. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Canada post problems again by
[email protected]
Another one of my Canadian shipments has apparently been misdirected or
eaten by customs. It has been three weeks (airmail letter), so, of
course, the buyer is knocking on my email door. The Canadian postal
service must have problems. It is the only country I've had any trouble
with. And yes, I...
