Came USPS Priority Mail from Monaco. Looks like there was a return receipt card on the envelope that was not returned, nor was a signature requested... Barry -- Note - Remove the X from my e-mail address for direct replies

Oh, well... by James McCown
I was at a gun show this morning. There were a few dealers who had coins to sell. One that immediately caught my eye was a 1799 large cent. It was heavily worn, probably a weak AG, but the date was strong. Knowing that there are many altered dates, I looked at the date with a glass. It didn't look...

To the Third Reich coin experts by ZEVIM
I have a 10 Pfennig coin military issue K&M # 99, 1940. The puzzling thing about it is that the mint mark to the left of the number 10, is in Gothic character. And not only that, it is the capital letter R, which doesn't agree with any of the mints listed in the catalog. Any...

mint coin rolls - keep in roll or break out? by AnswerMan2
Paper rolls - and even the plastic rolls - are way down on the list of safe storage media. Best bet, get some inert plastic coin tubes and put the rolls in them, especially if you are going to keep the rolls for more than a couple of months. Alan Herbert The AnswerMan

ANA Auction Catalog by Bruce Remick
I read all through the ads for the $25 2003 Baltimore ANA Auction catalog and couldn't find any mention of a prices-realized list. Is it understood that the $25 catalog price automatically gets you a p/r list after the auction is over? I would hope so. Still haven't received my catalog since 16...

Is Big Turtle a 64 or a 65 by Bill Krummel
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3034005272 Thoughts; 1) you win some, you lose some 2) an ICG66 would probably only bring PCGS65 money, so can one believe the story? Not a coin dealer.

1880 Melbourne International Exhibition Bronze/Lead Medal by Rick Nickles
I acquired an unusual medal as part of an estate. It is a medal from the 1880 Melbourne International Exhibition. It appears to be in bronze on one side with perhaps some silvering which may have for the most part worn off, and the other side is lead or lead filled. I saw one reference on Google...
