(RCSD) Curry and flies in the stamp pad~ Bhor by
rodney
To the uninitiated, this is what the fuss is all about
for one Mr. Robert Bateman.
The "endearingly hideous" stamps of Bhor.
My copy is thus:

This is what Mr. Bateman writes in 1971

A few years ago, the US Post Office issued a business-card size plastic
stamp decoder. What was the purpose of the decoder?

Salem Witch Trials -- a long shot by
Bobstamp
I hve a skeleton in my family closet: Some of my ancestors
participated in the persecution of women and children in the infamous
Salem Witch Trials. One of my relatives, by marriage, Sarah Good (also
spelled Goode) was actually hanged, and her five-year-old daughter was
briefly imprisoned with her...

Australia/Christmas Island by
Ralphael1
Looking at some Christmas Island stamps I see Australia followed by
the face value in larger letters than CI, why?
I know CI is a possession of Australia but do not see the need to have
Australia on a CI stamp.
Are the CI stamps valid for postage in Australia?

India~Dhar possible forgery? by
rodney
If anyone has a genuine image of Dhar SG1
can they compare it to this one please.
The frame design on all corner motifs
have the arrow pointing towards the centre.
I think the forger slipped up on mine
on the top LHS.

(RCSD) Magnifier by
Tony Vella
Recently there were posts here about the Digital Blue microscope. I
understand this machine magnifies only at 10x, 50x and 200x. Is there
anything out there that magnifies from 2x to 10x more or less like a
hand-held magnifying glass. Right now when I need such a magnification -...

Machin query. by
rodney
When Arnold sculpted the profile of Her Majesty,
as far as my memory permits, it was in something
similar to plaster, and appeared twice life size and in relief.
This has puzzled me for some time, why would this be so?
If perhaps the image of him was just cleaning up a mould
the question remains,...

Australia - Postmark Question by
Brenda
Hi All,
I found a stamp in a batch of kiloware that has a postmark from Barren
Island, Australia. However, the postmark is in blue and the wavy lines are
black. There's also a corner of a circular cancel (upper left) in black.
So, what do you all think - is the postmark legit or...
