Ric Burney
If you need all the mint and proof sets for 2000 (5 coin state qtr;
regular proof and silver proof sets) for one money, there's about a
day and a half left at:

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Are there Coin World archives? by
Jim Menning
I'm just curious, as I was quoted in an article on searching bags of coins
from local banks back in the summer of 1974. I'd like to someday find a
copy of the article, but I don't have the date/issue of the Coin World
paper it was in.
Does anyone know if old articles are archived anywhere (not...

Cold, yucky and record rain. Time to look thru ten bucks of cents. by
bri
I lost power for 2 days last week due to a "duratio" severe thunderstorm. Or
they also call that a squall line. 41,000 ppl. had no power for about 3
days. 10 to 15 mini-tornados--none hit the ground but they were yanking up
100+ year old trees all over. They never set off the tornado warning...

3 Firsts in Flight coins made of Niobium by
MarkR
Check out my post over on ABPN regarding the 3 Niobium coins I received
today from Wah Chang. Excuse the large photos. I tried to make them
smaller, but I couldn't figure out how to get them any smaller than they are
now all merged into one.

Interesting CW story. by
Bernhard Rich
I thought that story on the SAQ dollar being popular in Ecuador was very
interesting. I think the US should scrap the rag dollar and just issue
coins.

Has the Nickel Composition Changed? by
S. W. Ohio Bob
Has the composition of the nickel changed in the last couple of years? I
compared the sounds when "flipping" both a 2004 with the new Louisiana
Purchase reverse and a 2001 nickel. The 2001 has a ring to it, while the
2004 is more of a "thud".

A Puzzling Preference... I Wonder Why? by
WinWinscenario
I have similar feelings. For me, the half is the *original*.
The SAE is a "remake" and it is just not as attractive.
I agree that reproductions are never as attractive as originals, and I collect
both series! My SAEs are all MS/PF 69s, though, and my Walkers are--well--not
all MS.

Tom

Grading Franklins FBL: NGC or PCGS?? by

I have about a dozen of Franklins with FBL I'd like to get

A Puzzling Preference... I Wonder Why? by
Larry Louks
Howdy, friends!
I was just thinking about the different things that we find attractive
within the realm of numismatics. And how one person collects something that
another has little or no interest in. As for me, I think the Walking Liberty
Half is one of the most beautiful coins ever struck! I'm a...
