51 aero filler insulation efect by
VFM
Hi, this is a bit technical question:
I understand that introducing the aerometric filler Parker improved
insulation of the "51" respect temperature changes. But, why the aero filler
increments writing mileage? I can't imagine any ink evaporation through the
lucite barrel in a vac filler 51, only...

Aikin Lambert by
zippy
Got back from the NY Pen Show, accompanied by an Aikin Lambert "W.H. Sherred Pen." It's a beautiful jade green, a lever-filler. It's about the same size and shape as a Waterman 52, and writes similarly to it, too.
Anyway, does anyone out there know anything about this company and where it came...

convertor for Sheaffer's Cartridge pen by
Edward Bonaventure
On Sun, 21 Sep 2003 at 14:38:12 -0400, "marlinspike" scribbled:
-...is there a convertor I can use in my Sheaffer's Cartridge pen?
Yes. Contact pen dealers. However, I might note that for the
cheapest pens (which I use!), the easiest Sheaffer barrels to fit
converters into are either the 1950s...

NYC Pen Show by
Dik F. Liu
This is an excellent show. It is a bit smaller then last year's, but not by
much. The pens are mostly vintage, which is a welcome sign. Many of us can buy
new pens online; it is the vintage pens that we need to test-drive before
buying.
I stopped by one couple's table and examine their collection...

I know what I want but does it exist? by
Penny Howland
I am looking for a pen like the Pelikan 800, but less expensive for an
everyday pen. I like the ink capacity, the girth, the filler mechanism...(I
fill my pens daily) My pens get a lot of banging around. They are out and
in use constantly, sometimes would getting hits on bars (at the jail),...

Musings on Journals by
Brett Martin
First of all let me state that I'm in Australia and that makes it a
little difficult to source items sometimes. And I'm not associated with
POCO in anyway (I plan/design/build roads for a living)
Recently (the last week) I found myself shopping for a journal or
similar as a gift for a friend. ...

Soennecken by
Howie The Hammer
I've been looking into acquiring a Soennecken
fountain pen from the 30's or 40's. Are they worth the amount of money asked
for them? Can anybody give me some good info.
Thanks,
Howard Appel

Thank you to all who attended the New York City Pen Show by
Maryann Zucker
Hi Everyone:
We are finally coherent enough to talk about the NYC Pen Show. As the hosts
of the show our job is to make sure that everyone has what they need and
want and that is not easy since there are so many personalities involved
with dealers, manufacturers and the attendees all needing and...

convertor for Sheaffer's Cartridge pen by
marlinspike
Hi,
I was wondering, is there a convertor I can use in my Sheaffer's
Cartridge pen? I left my snorkel at home (so I can't refill cartridges) and
I don't feel like blowing money on cartridges.
Thanks,
Richard
