Most if not all cd lenses are mounted with the convex, (bowed out), part downward towards the laser diode. Be mindful that if you do use glue, not to let it bleed. Some glues such as super or krazy glue might even melt the plastic lens! Hope this helps. Cheers, Steve "mmplain"...
