Can anyone offer up to date detailed Stanley Gibbons
numbers for the Armenian Russian arms overprints right thru 1920?
I have the black and violet ops, so the simplified
Gibbons is of no use, my specialised is limited
and does not even list the 1k

Candadian counterfeits, forgeries by
Bobstamp
This last Wednesday, a Vancouver-area collector, Ken Pugh, was the
guest speaker at the BC Philatelic Society meeting. He gave a
illustrated talk on some really "dangerous" items:
-- Four modern self-adhesive booklets that are/were produced in
Eastern Europe. The stamps have been purchased in...

Brest L:itowsk by
Rein
Russian stamps have been an attraction for me not only from a historical
point of view but also because of the interesting methods of printing -
particularly in the USSR period.
Pre-USSR stamps so far did interest me only when I could find a nice
cancellation of the now Polish territory. I...

Australia - Why did they.... by
Alan
Durbar2003 is selling a couple of postcards showing the journey of the
Duke and Duchess of Yorks trip around the Empire in 1901. The
Australian cards have a band of plain tape across the top of the address
side side blocking out the "POST CARD, The Address must be Written on
this side"...

Postal Card Cut Corner Old Album Page Examples by
[email protected]
From our previous discussion about postal cards and how nobody
collects them now, back "in the day" they were followed closely by
some album publishers. The same goes for revenue stamps, early on. I
had some Portuguese revenue pages a few years ago.
Here are 2 examples that I found out on eBay,...

Tony Vella
Will someone please help me identify these stamps. A simple date of
issue would help a lot. I don't think I can go through Russia again in
my Scott catalog.

Self-Adhesives by
TL
I don't collect very much in the way of new issues but I got to
thinking about the self-adhesive and collecting mint stamps. I don't
trust adhesives of the kind that are on tape and I can't imagine that
there are very many that will survive over time especially given the
variety of climate...

Album pages in polypropylene sheets? by
Keith \(Dorset\)
Dear collectors,
I have been thinking of 'binding' some of my less important pages - which
are printed on acid free, 160gsm, card - in (ring-binder-holed)
polypropylene sleeves. OK, Not the most aesthetic option, but convenient for
some selections!
Most of these pages will have unmounted,...

Turkey ID, please. by
Tony Vella
http://cjoint.com/data/cquQGFftbY.htm
I can't find this Turkish stamp in my 2005 Scott. I'm wondering if
perhaps it is a fiscal or a revenue. Lots of hits on Google for "Yardim
Makbuzu" but all in Turkish, I'm afraid. Thanks in advance.

Darwin Award by
Tony Vella
I was wondering if the Darwin Award has ever been celebrated on a stamp.
M. Didier Cuidet and an ever-hopeful nature brought it to mind.
Thanks in advance.

GB Scott 69 ID by

I have identified this stamp as as poor copy GB Scott 69. I am
wondering why there are no sheet location letters in the corners.
There is note in Scott stating that No 69 plate 16 is from proof
sheets. Is that the answer and if so why doesn't it have a...
