"Here's an extra $15 to make sure you don't send me fake stamps" by Joshua McGee[_2_]
I put an offer in Linn's to try to send some of the amount (absurd, really) of philatelic material that I have accumulated -- country- separated glassines from kiloware, old album pages, the nine extra covers that came with the tenth that I *really* wanted -- everyone understands, I'm sure. I...

"Mint no gum" equal or not with "MNH"?... by gogu[_11_]
Good morning gentlemen! A terminology question: some times I encounter on eBay an S/S described as "mint no gum" and when I ask if it's MNH or MH, I receive the following answer: "it's not hinged but has no gum"! This answer does not enlighten me a lot, since an S/S can be issued originally...

50 EUROS REWARD OFFERED. I sent a postcard to Spain, for expertisation. It was not delivered to the addressee but the 'return to sender' wheels were put into motion by the Spanish Post Office. However I have had no sight of this postcard and have serious misgivings about its whereabouts. So I am...

"Overlooked graphic design: European stamps" by Jan Doggen
"On my way home, I happened to pass a "Stamp Fair" which sold all sorts of pretty stamps from all over the world for ridiculous amounts of money (especially considering, that you really don't need Finnish stamps in Japan). To my big surprise, I got totally sucked into this bought more than anybody...

"Ping" Victor About International Abuses In The Congo - Discussion (w/ Stamps!) by [email protected]
Well, Victor... I just found 3 more inciteful articles on the international raping, pillaging and plundering of the Congo that you state was / is a local, neighborhood affair. No civilized countries would take advantage of the weak, without paying them for it? Think again. OK... your current...

"Postmark could help prove rare stamps are authentic" (Hawaiian Missionary stamps) by Jan Doggen
"Two philatelic experts have announced a discovery that seems likely to renew one of the longest-running controversies among stamp collectors. Ken Lawrence and Richard Celler, both respected for their expertise in 19th-century stamps, have found evidence that a group of stamps long held to be...

"Snoeshoe" Thompson article? by Joshua McGee[_4_]
My mother, on vacation (holiday), called me today from the grave of "Snowshoe" Thompson, a famous character in U.S. postal history. I was trying to recall for her a recent(ish) article in a philatelic publication -- maybe on the 150th anniversary of his beginning the mail route, which would...

"Specimens" and "CTO's" for the Australian palate. by [email protected]
How you view "Specimens" is left to the personal opinion of the reader, however to illustrate that not all are "leaked" and, "near cinderella" imho likened to "near pregnant" I offer some info below. This doesn't address the catalogue status, as these issues remain the whim of the issuing...
