Another definitive conundrum -Venezuela by malcolm
I have a 25c blue Waterlow printing Simon Bolivar ( 1914 issue ) postmarked 1916 - remainder of date off stamp. According to my Gibbons South America ( old) this is perf 13,13.5. Mine is definitely perf 14.25 - even with the rounded blunt perfs on this stamp there is no way I can make it any less...

How to extract a postmark from a stamp for study? by Alfred
Dear All Can anyone tell me how do we 'lift' a postmark from a stamp, so that I can print it out and place next to the stamp, without showing the stamp, or any remnant of it? I remember there was a site that taught me how to do it, but I have lost the URL. Many thanks

Belgium 1934 Lion on Shield by malcolm
I am currently checking my accumulation of this stamp and I have a couple of queries on the 10c value. 1.This is only shown as one shade in the Gibbons benelux catalogue. There appears to be a wide variety of shades from a pale wishy-washy khaki colour to a quite dark brown shade. Does anyone have...

FDC insert supplier? by Joshua McGee
Hello, Does anyone know of a commercial source for archival white envelope stiffeners, sized to fit U.S. FDCs (#6 3/4)? Examples onto which I could laser-print would be especially nice. I've finally found a source of envelopes! Now I just need this one last thing ... until the next thing comes...

Help With Portuguese Colonies by [email protected]
I am trying to make some album pages for the Ceres issues of the various Portuguese colonies. Scott mentions there are different perforations (e.g. 15 x 14, 12 x 11.5) for these issues, but does not identify the individual stamps for each perforation. I know the Michel catalog identifies these...
