Went to my first booksigning today by
my-wings
Janet Evanovich, author of the Stephanie Plum series which is now up to nine
books, did a signing at my local Costco today.
What a gem that lady is! Even with her hand in a carpel-tunnel type brace,
she not only signed books purchased in-store, but any hardcover you brought
from home. She posed...

Minor Brag? by
Francis A. Miniter
At the Saybrook Library Book Sale today (I avoided the Westport on that
Art Layton mentioned in his post), I picked up what appears to be a
signed second printing of Alfred Eisenstadt's "Martha's Vineyard"
(Oxmoor House 1988). The signature appears as "Eisenstaedt" on the
FFEP. I have been...

on dialog by

I have yet to come across a book that really explains DIALOG well. They seem
to cover structure and style very well, but DIALOG, nada. I think if I can
offer a tip to other
writers out there it's too read a lot of books and screenplays to get a feel
for how
others who came before you use dialog in...

eBay Booksearch Improvement? by
hollowayd
I know that 98.7 percent of the time when eBay makes an exciting new
improvement it costs sellers more $ and results in fewer sales..can't
see why this would be any different. I'm just gonna wait and see
where this particular stinkbomb detonates.....

I'm wondering if there are variants to the dj of Carol Shield's

One dealer has a picture of a dj which has the line "winner of the crime

After reading the posts about certain Ebay listings being deceptive we know
which ones...let's not start that up again), I was wondering how many of us
have had books listed that went for more than they were probably worth.
Have you ever had a book that you knew wasn't worth more than $5 or $10...

Washable Binding...? by
Jbrodie1750
I have an English cookbook (Andre Deutsch) that says this on the bottom of the
front dj flap.
Does this mean I can throw the book in with the rest of my wash as long as I
don't use bleach?
Thanks in advance for an explanation of this unusual term.
