Rotring 600 FP Old Style by AndyH
I have been trying to get hold of one of these for a while without success, then I came across this site: - https://www.montgomerypens.com/index.asp I notice that he also has a shop on eBay. Have a look at the prices. I was quite stunned at how reasonable (to someone in the UK) they seem. ...

Inexpensive Sheaffer cartridge pen by Rashomon
Hoping to find new old stock of the cheap Sheaffer cartridge pen, which I understand was discontinued a few years ago. You're probably familiar with these: Unadorned, translucent colored plastic body, equally simple chrome cap. Steel nibs in M (and presumably F and B). They used to cost less...

Parker converter flow problem by J. L. Jones
I recently put a Centennial to work. Good flow, briefly. It appears that when the ink is used up in the feed, more isn't coming down from the converter. There appears to be pretty fierce surface tension inside the converter. The bubble visible at the top doesn't move when the pen is pointed up.

Need help finding this pen - see photo by Rick in CT
Hi all: When I was at Disney World, Animal Kingdom to be exact, I purchased this pen. It weighs 50g, 1 3/4 oz. I have attached the links to a couple of photos. It uses the parker refill. Can anyone help me locate this pen? It cost $17.00 US. It does not have to be from Disney. I have already...

Jon wrote: So, how have your tastes changed over the years? Hi Jon... Interesting how your tastes have changed. I've found that as I've become busier with work, my tastes in fountain pens have become much more utilitarian. I'm now using Parker 51s (Demis) and Pilot Caplesses (the...

Found my pen! by Colin B.
A couple of days ago, I was going to announce the loss of my oldest, cheapest, nastiest pen which I got in grade five (decades and decades ago). Happily, I've since found it. It discovered a hole in the lining of my coat, and went exploring. Not going to do that again!

W. German 900 Pelikan Toledo by Paul G
Hi All, I'm (still) working on a date/serial number table for the original 900 Toledos. Pelikan initially issued the 900 as a Limited Edition of 500 pieces to the USA. These pieces are marked "W. Germany" on the cap band and are missing the "925" silver mark. They were issued and marked with a...

Hi, I am an owner of a pelican with a fine nib and a parker with a medium nib. I now looking at buying a Pelican 805 and thinking of the nib I should chose. Inkjet Refil Strategies by [email protected]
Some input from a chem e: n-butanol is an excellent solvent for ink, if you can get ahold of some it would be much better for dissolving the crusty clogs in the jet nozzles. A little slow to dry, and somewhat smelly, too. Also, if you use water to formulate or clean, use distilled, many tap waters...
