Identifying a Harper Collins first edition by
John Warner
I believe I have a Harper Collins first edition, 2nd printing, but
wanted to make sure. I recently purchased Ann Patchett's Bel Canto
advertised by the seller as a first edition. However, when asking
particular questions I realized that she was a novice regarding book

sale. I had a chance to look through the stack and decided to take a
chance. I figured the supply of these was miniscule, but for all I
knew the demand was even smaller.
Upon further investigation and research, I've decided to...

Maxwell, Philadelphia 1814. The ffep has been ink stamped six times. Each of
these circular impressions are identical and look like the image of a coin.
They are also about the same size as a current U.S. dime. These...

Help Requested by
Tim
Long time reader of this group. Found up a copy of "Tony, the Hero" by
Horatio Alger at an estate sale. It appears to be the first edition,
published by J. S. Ogilvie, New York in 1880. 253 pages followed by 16
pages of ads for other Ogilvie items, brown boards, that have a
decorative impression....

I'm Mike
Hello,
I like reading, but dont know that much about certain books. Is anyone
