Leather restorer by
Greg
I just purchases a product called "Leather Cleaner, Conditioner &
Protector", from The Leather Institute.
Does anyone have experience using this product on books with leather
bindings? Are there any precautions or words of wisdom concerning this
treatment?
Thanks,
Greg

Giltedge04
Here are links to all books currently listed on Ebay UK/US sites. It makes for
an interesting comparison both in terms of quantity and quality.
I assume some of the better quality items listed by UK sellers are actually
listed on the US site. It also seems the total number of items being...

Collins Crime Club question by
Bob Riedel
I'm looking at a copy of The Riddle of Samson, by Andrew Garve (Collins/Crime
Club,1954). There is no jacket flap price. Normally, I would figure this to be
a book club edition, but it came from the library of a very astute mystery
collector, and has "1st Ed." pencilled on the front endpaper. Is...

Halberstam). What would be...

Michael Adams - Usenet Troll - A Users Guide by
Montcalm Bond
You give too much credit. From my casual reading here, he's not smart
enough to do all the things you suggest. His thinking is muddled, his
writing is stilted, and his points are unclear. He's all piffle and
twaddle. It's as plain as the nose on a troll.

Harvard Classics - What's the origianl design? by
Scot Kamins
I've noticed several designs for the Harvard Classics 50 - volume (51?
52?) set. One set is green with a uniform (plain) design, another is
multicolored with various designs. What's the original?
Thanks!

(Slightly OT) Loons, Worms & John Pelan's Obsessions by
Chris Barker
In this site John Pelan said with characteristic antagonism:
"Of course, Mr. Barker is a well-known loon that I no longer bother
replying to and the Adams creature is in my killfile where he belongs
so I haven't read all of Barker's bleatings. Ramsey's comments on the
interest in a given author...

Query The No1 Ladies Detective Agency by

I'm trying to find an idea of value of a first edition of this book,
published by Polygon, Edinburgh in 1998. I've tried abebooks, biblion
and most of the others and while thay list many copies, none are this
specific edition - I gather only 3000 or so were printed. Anyone have
any idea of value or...
