Westons Winery, of 25 Forrestbank Avenue, Wakari, Dunedin, New Zealand, have
come up with an interesting "wine post", (complete with stamps) to promote
their products.
The well designed "stamps" are used on postings made through international
carriers, on local deliveries and are...

Specializing with the Classic stamps by
tim
Hello! I collect Classic worldwide as shown in the Scott Classic
catalog. During my collecting, I've been pulled in big time with the
airmail stamps from that era and have given the lions share of my
attention. My question for those out there is whether I should place

Collecting the classics with the Scott Browns by
tim
Hello! I have a set of Scott Brown albums with a copyright of 1939. I
like the set and would like to know if anyone knows whether Scott made
any supplements to bring it up to include 1940 issues.

I found these in a recent auction lot. They look like the "make-up rate"
stamps issued in 2002 but they are on thin card. I don't think they are
cut-outs because they are all exactly the same size and shape.
Can anyone throw any light on this...

Between 1912 and 1931 Portugal issued a series of stamps called CERES for
use in Portugal and the Colonies. This series was printed and reprinted by
a number of different printers and consequently ended up being printed on

Getting excited over nothing. by
rodney
Today, at our local car boot sale, I came across a chromed
hand machine, in a very old tatty and worn cardboard box,
It was similar to a huge pair of pliers, in the jaws were pins
that spelt out the date 1901.
For a fleeting second I thought I had happened onto a
hand perfin machine!
The vendor...
